While in 2015 Wahoo Slayer did not make it into the winners circle, other years Captain Enrick enjoyed the rewards of hard work, determination and exceptional skills by placing in the top three positions. Well respected by his peers, renowned by the community and admired by so many, he has brought great honor to all who know him.

With a great respect for the sea and the need to conserve and protect the reef and the various fish species, Captain Enrick actively participates in The Billfish Foundation's (TBF's) Tag and Release Program.
The program has the largest billfish tagging database in the world and remains a cornerstone of the TBF's work, providing Scientists with vital statistical and geographical information gathered by thousands of volunteer fishing teams. The traditional tagging data reveals details such as migration patterns, age and growth rates, diving depths and sex ratios all adding to the knowledge base that advances billfish science and in turn, billfish management polices.
It is only through the participation and efforts of fishermen, captains and crewmembers that TBF is able to gather this vital tag and release data. Every fish that is tagged, released and recaptured provides us with one more piece of information towards better understanding the unique and majestic lives of billfish.
Additionally documenting tagged and/or released billfish also makes a valuable contribution to the socio-economic importance of how recreational sport fishing yields dividends to all participants, sponsors and other sub-industries supported by this endeavor.
The proceeds from this event benefit the Island of Roatan directly and indirectly through international tourism and secures Roatan's name as a partner and gracious host in this Internationally recognized Billfish Tournament.
Proceeds also benefit and flow through three different charities on the Island;
1. The Little Friends Foundation ; This foundation was formed by a group of passionate group of local islanders to improve health care for residents of Roatan.
2. Bay Islands Coastal Clean Up ; was formed to clean up costal areas with the effort to raise awareness of the importance of good waste management and protective environmental practices.
3. Roatan's Lions Club ; This International Non-Profit Organization whose slogan is "We Serve". They develop local projects based on education and health. They are the Administrators of the donations to execute a health project to benefit the community through the Roatan Public Hospital.
